The owner Helen Trill LicAc PhD MAcuC specialises in the practice of Chinese acupuncture for the effective treatment of a wide range of symptoms of health disharmony.
The clinic is modern, welcoming and comfortable, and has space for treatment and 1:1 or 2:1 exercise instruction. Helen blends Eastern and Western diagnostic and treatment techniques. Through Chinese medical diagnosis she aims to identify the underlying cause of your symptoms. The best combination of Acupuncture points and additional therapies are chosen specifically for you, and may also include cupping, massage and moxibustion.
Helen also sometimes runs Mindfulness courses and other workshops.
The name of the clinic comes from the Chinese acupuncture point Yong Quan, which translates as Bubbling Spring or Gushing Spring. This is the first 'Acu-point' on the Kidney channel in our bodies, located on the sole of the foot. When we practice Tai Chi or Qigong we activate this point. In Acupuncture this point draws excess energy in the head downwards and so treats among other things headaches, dizziness, and insomnia, but can also be used to revive. Here is a recent study that used this point to accelerate recovery following general anaesthesia http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25797640.
